How it works
The things people usually ask before we start.
What do you design?
Identities, packaging, and printed things for drinks brands and independent businesses: tonics, spirits, canned cocktails, syrups, and the small companies behind them.
Do you work with alcohol brands?
Yes. Spirits, wine, beer, canned cocktails, and the mixers and syrups that go with them. I've spent years making cocktails, syrups, and cordials behind the scenes in Miami Beach, so I know how a bottle gets used, not just how it looks on a shelf.
How much does it cost?
Identity and packaging together starts at $2,900. Identity alone starts at $1,800. Packaging starts at $1,500 for the first product and $600 for each one after. A single label is $850. Print starts at $400. Every project gets a fixed price before we begin, so the number won't change halfway through.
Why do the prices say “from”?
The starting price covers the core of the work. The final number depends on how many products you have, whether you need a custom box or structure instead of a standard one, and how soon you need it. More on that in how much beverage label design costs.
How does payment work?
Half to begin, half on delivery. Work starts once the first half is paid and the brief is signed off. Printing is paid directly to the printer and isn't part of my fee.
How long does it take?
About two weeks for a single label, three for an identity, and four for identity and packaging together. The clock starts once I have the deposit and everything I need from you.
What's the process?
- Brief: what you make, who it's for, and what it needs to do.
- Research: your shelf, your competitors, what already exists.
- Concepts: two or three directions, sketched first.
- Refinement: we choose one and develop it.
- Final files: everything print-ready and organized.
- Delivery: files handed over, with a short guide where it's needed.
How many revisions do I get?
Two rounds are included. Each extra round is $200. Most projects don't need more than two.
Can you work faster?
Usually, yes. Rush projects are an extra 25%.
Do you handle printing?
I prepare print-ready files to your printer's specs, can recommend printers, and will check proofs with you before anything is printed.
What about the legal information on labels?
I lay out everything a label needs: alcohol content, volume, government warnings, nutrition panels. The wording and approvals, such as a TTB label approval for alcohol, are your responsibility or your compliance person's. Send me the final copy and I'll make it fit.
Do you use AI or templates?
No. Every project starts on paper and is drawn and set by hand.
Who owns the work?
Once the final payment is made, the final files are yours to use however you like. I may show the work in my portfolio unless we agree otherwise.
What do you need from me to start?
Tell me what you're making, who it's for, and when you need it. Add your budget and a few brands you love, or want to stand apart from, and I'll send back a quote.
Where are you based?
Miami. I work with brands anywhere.
