artist statement
I’m interested in the meaning we put into objects and how that shapes how we see ourselves. Over time that meaning becomes value, and value becomes power. I call this accumulated meaning weight. My work traces how weight builds.
I came up as a graphic designer and still think like one, in symbols and systems. Design taught me how meaning attaches to a form, and how little it takes to shift it.
I work across painting, illustration, typography, photography and apparel, and let the idea choose the medium.
